About Us


The Dr Homeopathy South Africa ( website was founded in 2012. It was a collaboration between several registered homeopathic practitioners in South Africa with the common goal of promoting homeopathy in South Africa. It was developed as an online resource providing helpful articles on healing with homeopathy.

In 2014, the Dr Homeopathy SA website along with was acquired by Online Platinum Media (OPM) South Africa. With a 10 year history in developing and promoting small business websites in the health care industry, Online Platinum Media (OPM) is extending its market penetration in the complementary health sector.

The Dr Homeopathy SA website provided the ideal platform as it was owned, operated and built by professionals in homeopathy. OPM will be adding new services such as paid online advice from homeopaths through the platform and direct email interactions with South African homeopaths affiliated with OPM.

Dr Homeopathy SA is a commercial venture. It is not owned, operated or funded by any statutory council, professional association or non-profit organisation.


Dr Homeopathy South Africa aims to promote the practise of homeopathy among South Africans by providing relevant information on various issues pertaining to the homeopathic system of medicine. As an online resource, Dr Homeopathy South Africa also provides helpful articles on healing with homeopathy.

Online Platinum Media in association with the founders of Dr Homeopathy SA aim to bring the practise of homeopathy by professionals to a larger South African audience via the internet. The key is education about homeopathy along with the scope of homeopathic treatment.

Additional online services such as advice (not consultations) from homeopaths and email newsletters are intended to promote homeopathy. It is not intended to replace a consultation and prescription by a registered homeopathic practitioner in South Africa.


The practice of homeopathy in South Africa is regulated by the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA). Any person claiming to be a homeopath or prescribing homeopathic medicines for the treatment of a disease without relevant training can be prosecuted within South Africa.

We recommend that every person seeking homeopathic treatment to first consult with a homeopathic practitioner registered with the AHPCSA. Homeopaths conduct an in-depth consultation, with a thorough clinical examination and may request diagnostic investigations like blood tests, x-rays and scans.
